Farrah Franklin, a former member of Destiny’s Child, was arrested for disorderly conduct in Culver City, California this weekend, according to reports. Franklin was a member of Destiny’s Child for just five months, when she was fired by fellow members Beyonce Knowles and Kelly Rowland in 2000. Franklin was arrested at 6:45 AM on Saturday (April 23), and was released later on that day on a $100 bail. Reportedly, alcohol was a factor. No Comments »

Sofia Vergara and David Beckham star in the latest commercial for Diet Pepsi. The commercial which debuted Monday (April 18) during an episode of NBC’s Chuck, has Sofia trying to clear the beach out in Santa Monica, California so she can get to the refreshment stand to get her own Diet Pepsi. “I’ve been part of the Pepsi family for a number of years,” David stated, “and I’m back! Demi Lovato recently returned home from a rehab facility, and although we were expecting to see her back on the small screen in her Disney hit show, “Sonny with a Chance”, she reveals that she will not be returning. Demi, 18, explained her departure in this week’s issue of People magazine, saying: “It made sense for me to go ahead and leave the show to focus on my music. It’s kind of sad for me that a chapter of my life has ended but there couldn’t be a better time for me to move on. I don’t think going back to Sonny would be healthy for my recovery. Being in front of a camera would make me nervous.” Disney released this statement following Demi’s announcement: “We respect Demi’s decision to focus fulltime on her music and not immediately return to her acting career. She is a talented young woman and our hearts are with her as she continues to take action to improve her health and bounce back from adversity.” Although we will miss Sonny Monroe, we wish Demi the best in her music career. Duane “Dog” Chapman is in the news for bailing a very famous man out of jail! Dog told E! News, “I am a truly dedicated fan of Mr. Cage and will not be granting any interviews about my client as I wish to respect his privacy. I performed my duties as a bail bondsman and not in connection with our show.” Apparently Nic, 47, was arguing with his wife, Alice Kim, outside of a rental property when he grabbed her by her arm, then he “began striking vehicles and later attempted to get into a taxi,” a New Orleans officer said. Nic was intoxicated and ordered out of the cab by a police officer, but he began yelling and causing a scene. The officers subsequently took Nic to jail. And Dog told reporters the reason he bailed Nic out. “This is what I do for a living. There are two sides of my job: I release my clients after they have been arrested; and pick them up if they don’t show up in court,” he explained. “I do not believe the latter will be the case for Mr. Cage.” Filed under: Lady GaGa
Lady Gaga was in the midst of performing in Houston, Texas over this past weekend (April 10), where she took a tumble from the piano she was standing on and landed head-first onto the stage. Gaga was in the middle of singing “You & I,” when she lost her balance between the piano and its bench. Samantha, 33, posted the photo on Monday with the caption: “Wear a helmet kids!!!” Sam Tweeted: “Let this be a lesson… if you have a driver’s license you probably don’t need to be on a bmx bike.” And then commenting on the photo: “you should see what i looked like on saturday. that’s today.” Take care and get better fast, Samantha! Tori Spelling and husband Dean McDermott will welcome their third child in the fall. Tori announced on Twitter: “I know there’s been a lot of speculation, so I wanted everyone to hear from me… Its official…Dean & I are PREGNANT!!!!” Tori and Dean were married in 2006 and have two children already, a 4-year-old son Liam and 2-year-old daughter Stella. What do Jake Pavelka, Danielle Staub and Heidi Montag all have in common? Besides being people that nobody really cares to watch on TV? Oh, they’re starring on their own reality show…together! Just great! Jake, Danielle, and Heidi and other reality alumni are all going into the food business together for an upcoming series set to air on VH1. “They are revamping a restaurant from the ground up,” said a source. “They started shooting this past weekend.” The show will be based on the cast opening a restaurant in just 28 days. Danielle announced on Twitter: “I’m working on a project. Let you know soon what and with whom!! Taylor Lautner and rumored girlfriend, Lily Collins stepped out to get a bite to eat in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada. The two ate sushi. Lautner and Collins are co-starring in the upcoming flick “Abduction”. Taylor and Lily have been spotted together quite a few times lately. She has visited him on set of “Breaking Dawn” and earlier this week, the couple was seen grabbing Subway for lunch. Bravo has pulled the plug on The Real Housewives of D.C.. The network announced Thursday (April 8 ) that the low-rated show will not be returning for a second season. “We had an amazing season and we told stories that were unique to any other in the franchise. I wish all our D.C. wives the best and hope to work with them again in another capacity”, Andy Cohen, Bravo’s executive vice president or original programming and development, told reporters for The Washington Post. Bravo still has installments set in Orange County, New York City, Atlanta, New Jersey, Beverly Hills and Miami. The Real Housewives of D.C. is the first installment to be canceled. |
