Well, that was fast! Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston have called off their engagement for a second time.
Apparently, the relationship ended as fast as it began again. On July 14th, the same day the couple announced their re-engagement to the world, Levi had some other news for Bristol. Palin says he told her that same evening that he might have fathered a baby with another teenage girl.
Palin said the “final straw” was when Johnston told her he was going to Hollywood to see a hunting show, but in actuality, he was starring in a music video mocking her family.
“He’s just obsessed with the limelight, and I got played,” Palin told People magazine.
With all the attention as of late and photogs hanging in the front of her residence, Bristol moved out of her Anchorage townhouse that she purchased this last February. She and her 20-month-old son, Tripp have gone back to live with her parents, Todd and Sarah Palin.
Bristol also said that she’s not giving up hope of a happy two-parent home for Tripp. “I have faith that I’ll find it. Through this whole experience I know I need a man who’s going to be completely honest with me and someone who loves me and Tripp and wants to be with him all the time. I also want someone who has religious beliefs and a good family.”
Former Fugees man Wyclef Jean(who is a native of Haiti) will reportedly formally announce his bid to become Haiti’s next president on Larry King Live on Thursday (August 5).
Jean established the Yele Haiti Foundation in 2005 to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Haiti. He has also been very instrumental in getting relief to Haiti following the devastating earthquake in January 2010.
According to Pierre Eric Jean-Jacques, former head of the country’s Chamber of Deputies, he tells the Associated Press that Jean will run under Jean-Jacques’ Ansanm Nou Fo coalition (which translates to “together we are strong” in Creole).
According to Jean-Jacques, “Yes, we have an agreement. But he’s the one who has to announce it first.”
“If not for the earthquake, I probably would have waited another 10 years before doing this,” Jean told Time. “The quake drove home to me that Haiti can’t wait another 10 years for us to bring it into the 21st century.”
Haiti’s presidential election will be held on November 28, 2010. We’ll keep you updated.
