New Moon, which is the second film in The Twilight Saga, hits the stores March 20 at 12:01 a.m., Summit Entertainment announced today, January 15!
The Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, and Kristen Stewart induced movie will be released on two discs and include a six-part behind the scenes documentary. It will feature music videos from Death Cab for Cutie, Anya Marina and Mute Math, and audio commentary from director Chris Weitz and editor Peter Lambert.

Very cool.

Eclipse, The third film in the series, is said to be released June 30, 2010.

Samantha Tumpach, 22, has been charged with a felony on Monday, December 2nd for trying to videotape the movie “Twilight Saga: New Moon” off a movie theater screen.

The young woman was charged with criminal use of a motion picture exhibition facility, a class four felony, after she was caught using a hand held video recorder to tape the movie at Muvico Theater in Chicago.

Apparently an usher saw the girl videotaping the movie and alerted management of the theater. The manager went down and saw her taping the movie, so they pulled her out of the theater and called the cops.

When they checked the camera, she already had two copies of the movie on the camera!

The theater has pressed charges and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s office approved the charge of criminal use of a motion picture exhibition facility.

Tumpach faces up to three years in jail if found guilty.

Wow, so not worth the risk!

The hottest stars of “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” have taken to the Twitter site for the movie to tweet their thanks.  Here’s what Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner wrote:

All the stars from the hit movie are currently making their rounds on the media and talk show circuit.  New Moon was a great movie- hope everyone gets the chance to see it!

Harry Potter’s midnight release record has been broken. 

 But not by just any old movie; but by “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”.  It grossed an estimated $26.3 million playing in 3,514 midnight engagements Friday, breaking the 12 a.m. show record of $22.2 million set in July by “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”

Summit Entertainment had set expectations for “New Moon” in the $80 million-$85 million range.

Summit also took advantage of the hype surrounding its “Twilight” sequel to reissue the original for simultaneous midnight play in 2,057 theaters Friday. It generated $1.3 million in revenue, or a $631-per-theater average.

But last night, November 16th, was the red carpet premiere of The Twilight Saga: New Moon, in Westwood, California.

Dressed in Oscar de la Rent, Kristen Stewart was getting into the spirit of the night. “You have so much human energy thrust at you,” she said, smiling. “This is a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

Taylor Lautner answered questions about his toned body: “It’s just as hard to maintain as it is to put on,” he said. “We’re doing what we love and these people, everybody, they’re helping us do it.”

The threesome looked wonderful and looked to be having a great time.  And we are so excited about New Moon- out Nov. 20!

The newest “New Moon” trailer has been showing for the past week in theaters.  Now, for the first time, this trailer premiered at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards.  And just as the premiers in the past, Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and Robert Pattinson were on hand to introduce the newest clip to a live screaming audience and an eagerly awaiting television audience.

All I can say after seeing this one is…OMG I can’t wait to see this movie!  Tell me your thoughts.

On the cover of Entertainment Weekly’s fall movie preview, it features “New Moon”.

But, for the first time in”Twilight” movie reporting, Robert Pattinson is MIA.

Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner are seen hanging out, getting close.   “It was a stress-free job for three months,” says Robert. “All the pressure was on Taylor.”

Kristen talks about chemistry with Taylor. 

“Just because of how I felt around him. I literally saw Jacob in him. We have that relationship. It’s lamely cute. I love that kid. I would do anything for him. I would kill for him, literally.”

Okay…yikes?  Kristen always has such a way with words.  Anyway…

Kristen responds to the rumor that she is pregnant. 

“It’s so absurd. I walk out of my trailer with my pants undone—and they think I’m pregnant? I mean, really?! They think I’m pregnant? Come on! Like, dude I don’t get it.”

Kristen explains the differences between Twilight and New Moon. 

 ”We needed to make something commercial but stay true to the book,” she says of the first film. “We didn’t have enough money. It was all very impulsive, and that’s what I love about that f–king movie. But I think New Moon is gonna be even better.”

And just for a look-see, here’s the New Moon trailer in French.  The “official” trailer will be released in English tomorrow.

A brand-new full-length clip of The Twilight Saga: New Moon will be hitting theaters on Friday.  It will show in front of Bandslam; so get there and take your seats early!

“New Moon” is expected to hit theaters this November 2009.
