Rick Springfield was arrested on Sunday night (May 1) for driving under the influence in Los Angeles County, California.

Springfield, 61, was pulled over by the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. for a traffic violation.  The 1980’s pop star’s blood alcohol level was measured at .10 (which is .02 over the legal limit).
 
Nice. You’d think a guy at this age would be smarter than this!

Christina Aguilera was arrested for public intoxication early Tuesday morning (March 1) and jailed for her own safety until she sobered.

Aguilera, 30, was a passenger in a car driven by her boyfriend, Matthew Rutler.  The couple was pulled over at 2:45 a.m. when deputies noticed the vehicle driving erratically.

Both were booked, Aguilera for public intoxication and Rutler for DUI.  Law enforcement officials say that Rutler blew a .09 on a breathalizer and impounded his car after he was arrested.

Christina was released from custody at about 7:30 a.m., according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore.

“We have no desire to prosecute, none whatsoever. It is just for a public safety issue,” said Whitmore. “When she was able to navigate and to think on her own and make her own way, she was released.  She was not capable to taking care of herself. She was incapacitated,” continued Whitmore. “She was cooperative. She was not belligerent in any way whatsoever. She was just intoxicated.”

“As she got better, she just said, ‘I would like to leave,’” says Whitmore, and Christina was released.

No word from Christina or her reps.

Vince Neil, the former front man for Motley Crue, has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Las Vegas Metro pulled Vince over  on Sunday night (June 27) around 11 p.m. in Las Vegas. He was arrested and is currently being held at the Clark County jail.

His bail is currently set at $2000.

Apparently Vince didn’t learn his lesson!  During the mid-’80s, Vince was involved in an accident that caused the death of his passenger, Nicholas “Razzle” Dingley (drummer for Hanoi Rocks)- Vince was intoxicated at the time of the crash.

Vince recently released a solo CD and plans to publish a memoir this fall.- both titled- “Tattoos & Tequila.”

Chris Klein was arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of DUI on Wednesday (June 16).

The California Highway Patrol says Chris was weaving on the Hollywood Freeway and according to sources- his blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit of .08.

Chris is no stranger to being in trouble with the law.  He was arrested for a DUI in 2005 in San Diego County, California.

There is a new law that takes effect in July in California that as a multiple offender, Klein could be forced to use a Breathalyzer-type machine to start his car in future.
 
Oh no, how awful! A breathalyzer machine on his car?!  A repeat offender shouldn’t be driving a car- at least for a good amount of time!  Well, that’s my opinion.  What’s yours?

Artist Thomas Kinkade was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.

California Highway Patrol officials said that Kinkade was arrested by a CHP officer just after 10 p.m. Friday (June 11), just outside Carmel, California.

Kinkade, 52, was booked into the Monterey County Jail and was released Saturday (June 12) morning.

Kinkade is known for being the “painter of light” and his paintings of cottages, lighthouses and churches in dewy morning light.

No statement has been made by or on behalf of Kinkade at this time.

A man suspected of DUI and hitting multiple vehicles in Denver, Colorado on Tuesday night (May 4), was previously arrested by Dog The Bounty Hunter.

The suspect, Jerrad Leonard, 27, is suspected of hitting a police car, then slamming into a small sedan, landing on top of it and injuring him and five others. The crash littered parts of a 13-block stretch with car parts and glass.

During a 2008 episode of “Dog the Bounty Hunter”, Duane “Dog” Chapman and his team arrested Leonard while he was at work at a Taco Bell. Leonard had an outstanding warrant for DUI in Adams County, Colorado.

Leonard was cited on charges of driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, DUI, reckless driving, failing to report an accident, and failing to provide information and aid after an accident.

Wow, way to rack up those charges in one night!

But this isn’t the first time Leonard has been in trouble with law before.  Based on his criminal history, he has been arrested on similar charges before in two Colorado counties.

Jason Wahler of The Hills was sentenced Monday (May 3) to three years probation after pleading guilty to drunk driving.

In addition to probation, Wahler, 23, also received three months in an alcohol-offender program and two days in jail, which he was given credit for time already served.

Wahler was arrested in January in Newport Beach, California.   His blood-alcohol level was .19, which is more than twice the legal limit.

“The Real World: San Francisco” star Puck (real name David Rainey) was arrested on a DUI charge after a car accident that has left him and his 8-year-old-son, Bogart, in the hospital.

Rainey is also facing charges of child endangerment and driving without a license.

The accident took place near San Diego, were both are currently hospitalized.

Reportedly, sources close to Puck’s family said that he and Bogart were coming back on Friday from a fishing trip, when he swerved to avoid hitting a deer and lost control of the car.

However, CHP police reports say that Puck was unable to negotiate a curve in the roadway due to his level of intoxication.

According to TMZ, Puck suffered broken bones in both feet, his right hand and his neck; He also reportedly fractured his clavicle and sternum.

Puck’s son, Bogart reportedly suffered damage to his liver and bruised several internal organs in the accident.

How awful.  We wish you both a speedy recovery.

Deadliest Catch star Jake Harris was arrested on DUI, hit and run, and driving on a suspended license charges late Thursday night (February 18).

Seattle police say that 24-year-old Jake got into a hit and run accident while intoxicated. He was also driving with a suspended license.

Jake was released Saturday morning (February 20) on $1500.00 bond for two charges, as the hit-and-run charge was dismissed.

“Mr. Harris was spotted driving a BMW 3 Series erratically Thursday evening by a citizen in Shoreline, Washington.  We were able to locate his vehicle by aircraft, and he was pulled over in the Seattle area. The car was registered to his father,” says Washington State Patrol spokesman Dan McDonald.

“He failed a field sobriety test and refused to take a toxicological test,” McDonald said. “After further investigation, it was found that he was involved in a hit and run with another occupied vehicle earlier in the evening. He had rear-ended another car.”

Apparently Jake has been having a hard time with grief following the death of his father, Captain Phil Harris, just nine days earlier.
 
Thank goodness noone was hurt.

Well he may star on the show Heroes, but he’s not a hero in real-life!

Heroes star, and husband of Dixie Chick Natalie Maines, Adrian Pasdar was arrested for DUI in the early hours Wednesday (January 27).

According to reports, Pasdar, 44, was stopped around 2:59 a.m. after reportedly driving more than 90 mph on the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles, California.

Reports say that Pasdar was “failing to maintain his lane.” So, police gave him a field sobriety test, in which he failed.   He was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

Pasdar’s bail was set at $15,000 according to reports. TMZ reports that Pasdar refused to take a breathalyzer test.
