‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ broke records when it grossed an estimated $30 million-plus from midnight showings on Wednesday (June 30).
This estimate surpasses the gross earnings for midnight showings for ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon,’ which made $26.3 million from midnight showings.
‘Eclipse’ also took a second record — midnight screenings of the film in IMAX. It grossed an estimated $1 million-plus, surpassing the record of $959,000 which was previously held by ‘Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen.’
