Jill Zarin is seen very little on this week’s episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, “except for a brief showing of her with LuAnn deLesseps talking ill of the other girls.
Five of the seven ladies take refuge on a beautiful yacht in the Virgin Islands for Ramona’s girls’ only week celebrating the renewal of her wedding vows to husband, Mario.
The five ladies are: Ramona Singer, Bethenny Frankel, Sonja Morgan, Alex McCord and Kelly Killoren Bensimon, minus Jill and LuAnn- sounds like a zero drama week, right? Umm, no. On the very first afternoon, during lunch, Ramona brings up Jill. Alex joins in, while, surprisingly Bethenny was listening and taking everything in. But Kelly brings Bethenny in and lashes out at her for “talking about people behind their back”. She ends up taking a “time out” but returns for dessert.
Meanwhile, LuAnn is busy in a recording studio laying down a track for a song she co-wrote, “Money Can’t Buy You Class”. Has anyone heard it? What do you think?
We’re going to not talk about any negative opinions of the song right now. So, moving along… LuAnn goes on a date with Courte (the really awkward, odd man LuAnn was with last week). After some really uncomfortable kissing and LuAnn giving her cheek to finish the make out session, there’s nothing more to say.
While Ramona and Alex are on the yacht next door, which belongs to the founder of Hooters, Bethenny, Sonja and Kelly are making an attempt to really talk. Sonja opens up and shows the vulnerable side to her personality, admitting that her divorce has left her feeling less desirable than when she was married. Bethenny bonds with her and Kelly just gets irritated, claiming that women get emotional l way too much. Next thing you see is Kelly and Bethenny have a shouting match. Kelly tells Bethenny that she is a cook, not a chef and calls her a ho-bag, and Bethenny calls Kelly the most unintelligent person she’s ever met. So, Bethenny excuses herself and goes to the Hooters yacht, where Ramona is getting completely sloshed.
Kelly and Sonja make their way onto the Hooters yacht, where Kelly continues her sniping with Bethenny, and comes off acting like a nut job. Even Sonja, who’s been trying to stay neutral, starts questioning Kelly’s sanity.
Next week, the girls are still on the yacht and we get a sneak peek of Kelly calling back to home base to report to Captain Jill Zarin to give her the full report. And Kelly says she doesn’t like to get into the middle of drama and she doesn’t take sides….pfft!
