Update to: Phil Spector Convicted!
Phil Spector, 70, who was convicted of second-degree murder, is asking for a third trial!
Spector’s attorneys filed a 148-page brief on Wednesday (March 10), which is appealing his second-degree murder conviction. A conviction for shooting actress Lana Clarkson in 2003. He is currently serving a prison sentence of 19 years to life.
But Spector’s attorneys say the conviction should be overturned due to misconduct on the part of prosecutors. They say the prosecutors encouraged the jury to convict Spector because he was a bad guy character wise. And they also allege judicial misconduct, due to the prosecution apparently showed a video to the jury in court featuring L.A. Superior Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler commenting on evidence in the case.
It may take at least a year for the state of California to issue a ruling.

Worthless fuck!
