Marie Osmond‘s son Michael Blosil committed suicide by jumping from the eighth floor of his L.A. apartment building Friday night (February 26).
Osmond released a statement Saturday evening (February 27): “My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
Osmond is the mother of eight children. Michael reportedly had suffered “severe depression” throughout his life. He left a t note explaining his decision to take his own life. At the age of 16, he had entered a rehab facility for his depression.
He was 18. RIP
Marie and Donny Osmond‘s Las Vegas show was cancelled for Saturday night.
