Mel Gibson in a video interview with WGN TV reporter Dean Richards, Mel called the Chicago newsman an “asshole” after he was questioned about his past DUI arrest and other behaviors.
“Do you think that the public will perceive you any differently after all that’s been in the news about you?” Richards asked.
“What are you referring to specifically?” Gibson responded.
“Referring to the drinking problems, referring to the, what’s been called, the anti-Semitic rant,” Richards said.
“That’s almost four years ago, dude. I’ve moved on, I guess you haven’t,” Mel says, adding that he felt the public had forgiven him for the incident. “Well, I certainly hope so. It is awhile back. I’ve done all the necessary mea culpas, so let’s move on, dude, come on.”
Richards moves on, talks briefly about Mel’s latest movie, “Edge of Darkness.” Then, he does his sign off. And Mel defiantly gets in the last word.

That reporter was an asshole! Mel was available to talk about his movie. The reporter guy was trying to start shit!
That guy shouldn’t be asking questions about something that happened 4 years ago. He was trying to make up for the fact he wasnt able to ask him 4 yrs ago. What a loser!
That news guy was desperate and probably crapping in his pants that he even got to interview a celeb
