Some of the biggest names in the music industry are coming together to record a newer version of “We Are The World” to aid the earthquake victims of Haiti.
According to reports, Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie are planning a 25th anniversary re-recording of the song, which originally was done to provide famine relief in Africa, in 1985.
Some of the artists planning to lend their vocals are: Usher, Natalie Cole, and John Legend. It is rumored that Wyclef Jean, Sting, Fergie, Alicia Keys and Justin Timberlake may be possibilities.
Vocals of Michael Jackson, who performed (the original) and co-wrote the song, will be incorporated into the new version.
