Michael C. Hall was presented with Best Actor in a Drama for Television at the 2010 Golden Globe Awards yesterday, January 17.
“It’s nice to see colleagues and for me to show I am doing fine,” Hall told reporters at the awards ceremony.
Hall, 38, revealed his battle with cancer this past week, and said that he had every intention his sickness a secret.
“I had every intention of keeping it quiet, but because award shows were imminent, I had to make a statement,” Hall said. And he was glad that he could let everyone know when the prognosis was good.
Hall’s Dexter, season four, costar and Golden Globe winner John Lithgow spoke out about Hall. “The man truly deserves to win,” said Lithgow. “Michael is a stupendous actor.” “Tremendous.”
Congratulations Michael! You do truly deserve your win and we can’t wait for another season of “Dexter”!
