Redbox, the DVD rental chain, is trying to remove a poster for Brittany Murphy‘s new straight-to-DVD movie, ‘Deadline,’ because it depicts Brittany lifeless in a bathtub.
Murphy passed out in her bathroom and later died Dec. 20 after suffering cardiac arrest. Autopsy results are pending.
The poster is shown at kiosks around the country. Redbox started removing the movie cover after the death Murphy and should be done by New Year’s Day.
In the movie ‘Deadline’, Murphy plays an artist recovering from a psychological breakdown. She retreats to a remote Victorian house that is haunted. She finds disturbing videotapes in the attic and starts to dig deeper to uncover the mysterious story of the couple on the tapes.
The movie also stars Thora Birch.

They should not censor her WORK. Dead or not, that is still her work and they shouldn’t take it away.
