Connie Hines died Friday at her home in Beverly Hills.
Hines, an actress best known for playing Carol Post, Wilbur’s wife on ‘Mr. Ed,’
Co-star Alan Young told the LA Times. “I lost a great friend. She was always joyous.”
Before Mr. Ed, Hines appeared in a many TV shows including ‘Perry Mason’ and ‘Coronado 9.’ After the 144 episodes of ‘Mr. Ed’ ended, Hines guest starred occasionally throughout the 60s and 70s, in ‘Bonanza,’ ‘Love, American Style’ and a few episodes of ‘Hollywood Squares.’
Hines was married to Lee Savin, who died in 1995. But in 1989, Hines hosted a cable access show about animals where she interviewed veterinarians and other experts.
Hines died from complications of heart problems. She was 79.
