Carrie Underwood and now fiancé, Ottawa Senator hockey player Mike Fisher are engaged!
Fisher confirmed the engagement at a press conference Monday. He said he popped the question Sunday, but didn’t to offer any other details.
“It’s true,” he said. “We’re both obviously excited and very happy.”
Underwood, 26, and Fisher, 29, have been dating since last year.
Underwood opened up about Fisher on the liner notes of her new CD, Play On.
“Thank you #12,” she wrote, referring to his jersey number. “You are the most amazing addition to my life! You are such a wonderful person and have had such an amazing hand in the building of this album and in the growth of me as a person. I love you so much! You make my life better in every way! I thank God for you every day… xoxo, Carrie.”
Before Fisher, Underwood was in the media for dating Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford and former Bachelor star Travis Stork.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
