After nearly three years together, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have called it quits.
A source close to couple was reported saying that the couple just weren’t getting along lately. “No one cheated. There was no drama,” says the source.
The pair met on the set of the film Rendition, in 2007, when Witherspoon was still getting over her 2006 divorce from husband of seven years Ryan Phillippe, with whom she has two children, Ava, 10, and Deacon, 6.
Gyllenhaal had moved into her home in June 2008, and everything looked as if it were going great for the couple.
However, now that the relationship has ended, it is said that the most important thing to Reese is to keep things as quiet and low-key as possible for her children’s sake.
Sounds like a level-headed woman and a good mother to us. It really is too bad it didn’t work out.
