As we reported earlier, an unknown woman was rushed to a hospital from Tiger Woods’s Florida home. We now know that that woman was his mother-in-law, Barbro Holmberg, 57, a hospital spokesman Dan Yates has confirmed.
Yates said, “Last evening Barbro Holmberg, mother of Elin Woods, was admitted to Health Central Hospital with stomach pain. She’s in stable condition and is currently undergoing evaluation. Media reports other than this attributed to this matter have been erroneous and speculative and we ask that her privacy be respected at this time.”
A family member also confirms that Holmberg is stable and is being evaluated.
Holmberg is a well known politician in her homeland, Sweden. Elin is one of her three children with her former husband, Swedish journalist Thomas Nordegren.
Also, prior reports stated that Elin had moved residences. However, with last night’s emergency during the wee hours of the morning, it looks that perhaps Elin has not moved out of her home with Tiger.
