The collection was stolen from a truck while en route fromVictoria’s management office in West London, to London’s Heathrow Airport, in order to ship them to New York department store Neiman Marcus.
When the driver stopped to make another delivery, the two thieves had smashed the padlocks. Then they burst from the back of the van with two huge boxes of dresses. The driver was not seriously injured.
“This operation was meticulously planned. The thieves must feel they can make a fortune selling the collection on the black market,” a source told London’s the Daily Mail. ”
A spokesperson for Victoria is hopeful that the spring/summer 2010 collection will be able to be remade in time for delivery to Neiman Marcus before its launch.
