Bethenny Frankel, who we recently reported got engaged to boyfriend Jason Hoppy, is expecting her first child.
“I’m pregnant,” the Bravo reality star, 38, Twittered Tuesday.
Bethenny had hoped to keep her news a secret a little longer because she is only two months along. However, Perez Hilton had stated his views on his site that Bethenny is in fact pregnant and forced her to make a very private matter, public.
But she Twittered Tuesday, “I had to be true w u but was unfairly forced to come forward early.”
But getting pregnant before tying the knot, Bethenny says, “I’m no spring chicken. I didn’t think it was going to happen right away. Because of my age, sometimes we weren’t totally careful.”
And she admits, “I got to be honest, we are both feeling kind of proud of ourselves. We are both 38 and we were like, ‘Listen, your fish can swim and I am fertile.’ So that’s exciting.”
Her Real Housewives of New York costars were unaware of the big news.
Regarding the pregnancy rumors, Jill Zarin told Usmagazine.com Monday evening, “It’s a rumor! I don’t know why someone started that. They’re a great couple. He’s a very nice guy — very handsome and sweet.”
Well, certainly congratulations are in order for Bethenny and Jason!
