Johnny Depp arrived at Disney’s D23 Expo today in Anaheim, California, riding a giant pirate ship, in his ever-so-popular Jack Sparrow gear!
The fourth film of the Pirates franchise has been given a name- Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides! But, we will still have to wait a bit too see it, as it is not going to be released until the summer of 2011. And a few things different about this one- rumor has it the fourth installment will be all about Jack Sparrow! Unfortunately, that means no Orlando Bloom as Wil Turner or Keira Knightly as Elizabeth Swan.
Johnny made his appearance minutes after Kermit and Miss Piggy were there to promote the new Cheapest Muppet Movie Ever Made, written by Jason Segel.
“I’m looking for a talking Frog,” Johnny said to the crowd of 5,000 fans there for the expo. “I like frogs. Tastes like chicken.”
And then he sailed off. Classic!
The Pirates movies have grossed more than $1 billion in the United States alone.
The only bad thing about this is we have to wait 2 years! But it’ll definitely be worth it! What do you think?
