“The King of Pop”, Michael Jackson has died earlier today after being taken ill at his home, the Los Angeles Times said. He was 50.
The circumstances of his death were not immediately clear. Jackson was not breathing when Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to a call at his Los Angeles home about 12:30 p.m., Capt. Steve Ruda told the Los Angeles Times. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda told the newspaper.
“Pop star Michael Jackson was pronounced dead by doctors this afternoon after arriving at a hospital in a deep coma, city and law enforcement sources told The Times,” the newspaper reported on its website.
He had been scheduled to launch a comeback tour from London next month.
This is a huge loss for all. Michael Jackson was a very talented performer. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family.

This is a very sad day. Michael Jackson was like no other! He was a wonderful dancer, singer, entertainer, among numerous other things. The whole entire world lost someone today. His music will live on, on our ipods and his memory will live on in our hearts. He was so much a part of my childhood; I am so thankful for him. RIP Michael. You are in a better place now and thank you for everything you gave to the world.

I will miss him. While everyone was dogging him, I remained his fan. He was a fantastic entertainer all around. And those women who claimed Michael had done something to their children, should be ashamed! They have his death on thier heads now.
