Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel are expecting their first baby, his rep confirms.

The couple met on the 1996 Broadway production of Rent and married in January 2003. This will be the first child for both.

Diggs costars on the ABC drama Private Practice and Menzel won a Tony Award for her turn in the 2003 Broadway production of the musical Wicked.
