Girls Next Door star Holly Madison and illusionist Criss Angel have called it quits.

Madison, 29, and Angel, 41, began dating late last year after she split with Playboy mogul Hugh Hefner last October. 

A source close to the couple says that Criss was a rebound relationship for Holly.  The source says Holly felt bad about how her relationship ended with Hef, and she basically threw herself into Criss’ life, and it wasn’t what she thought it would be.

Although officially, the news is “the split is mutual as a result of a conflict of schedules.”

Um, ya okay.
