Original cast of Melrose Place
The CW officially picked up today the remake of “Melrose Place” and has hired Davis Guggenheim, who nabbed an Academy Award for directing “An Inconvenient Truth”, to direct it.
Casting for the series will be begin next week.
Like the remake of “90210” that premiered this season, the updated “Melrose Place” will focus on a new group of tenants, some of whom will be related to the original characters, such as the son of Jake (Grant Show). CW President of Entertainment Dawn Ostroff has also said she would love for some of the original cast to appear in the new series.
I bet the out of work, Heather Locklear will be banging down their door. Who would you like to see come back to Melrose?

I liked Billy, but his roommate was way too whiny!
Whats up with all hte 80′s remakes?? Noone can think of their own ideas?
I loved that show as a kid. It went downhill when Heather Locklear joined the cast. Hope its not her to return in the new one.
This show was pretty good. Doug was my favorite. But I couldn’t stand the red-hed, the blonde one’d sister who slept with the husband who was the doctor. Ya I liked that show.
That show was gay
I liked Billy. He was so cute. But so dumb.
I never liked this show. I always turned it after 90210.
