Announced on Sporty Spice‘s website, Melanie C, whose real name is Melanie Chisholm, and longtime boyfriend Thomas Starr welcomed a baby girl over the weekend.

Scarlet Starr, who weighed in 8 lbs., 3 oz., was born Sunday, February 22 at 4:10 PM.

According to the former Spice Girl‘s site, they “are doing fine.”

Melanie C announced that she was expecting in August 2008.
