Jenna Elfman to guest-star in the upcoming season of Shameless on Showtime.
The former Dharma & Greg star will appear in the second season finale as Jill, who, according to the network, “a woman with a dangerous past and an awkward present”.
The second season of Showtime’s hit show will take place during a sweltering Chicago summer. Frank, played by William H. Macy, will be still living with the neighbor woman, played by Joan Cusack. Fiona (Emmy Rossum) will have to take a job and the kids will be running a day-care out of their house.
But, back to Jenna…She is definitely a busy woman! She recently appeared on the season premiere of Two and a Half Men, and has recently signed on for the next season of Damages.
Shameless is slated to return Sunday, Jan. 8 on Showtime.
Andy Rooney, who spent the last 33 years on CBS’s 60 Minutes, died Friday night (November 4, 2011) in a New York City hospital, as reported. He was 92.
Rooney had undergone a minor surgery in October, but suffered “serious complications.”
On October 2, 2011, Rooney signed off a final time from the Sunday-night weekly news program- just two weeks prior to his surgery.
Rooney is survived by his four children. His wife had passed away in 2004.
Grammy winning singer-songwriter Melissa Etheridge was the latest celeb to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
On Tuesday, September 27th, a ceremony was held in front of the Hard Rock Cafe in Hollywood, California. The day also marked the launch of Hard Rock’s month-long Pinktober campaign (a series of concerts and celebrity events held to raise money and breast cancer awareness).
Etheridge, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004, has been an artist ambassador for Pinktober for the past six years, was presented with the 2,450th sidewalk star in Hollywood.
A few young Hollywood stars have come together to take a stand against planking. David Henrie, Sara Paxton, and Jake Abel, amoung others have made a public service video to let their voices be heard!
So what is planking, you ask?
“Planking” is an activity consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. The hands must touch the sides of the body and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the internet is an integral part of the game. It has hit Twitter and social media hard.
Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon welcomed their twins (a boy and girl) last Saturday (April 30).
Mariah and Nick have named their son, Moroccan Scott Cannon and his nickname is “Roc.” (named after a Moroccan-themed room in Mariah’s New York City home). And their daughter? Her name is Monroe (as in Marilyn).
The Moroccan Room is also the room where Nick proposed to Mariah in 2008. Scott is Nick’s grandmother’s maiden name and Nick’s middle name.
Daughter, Monroe Cannon does not have a middle name. Mariah is known for her admiration of the late actress. Mariah purchased Marilyn’s piano for more than $600K at Christie’s auction back in 2006.

Rick Springfield was arrested on Sunday night (May 1) for driving under the influence in Los Angeles County, California.
Springfield, 61, was pulled over by the L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. for a traffic violation. The 1980’s pop star’s blood alcohol level was measured at .10 (which is .02 over the legal limit).
Nice. You’d think a guy at this age would be smarter than this!
Prince Harry looked very handsome at older brother, Prince William’s wedding. And Chelsy Davy attended the event, looking beautiful, at least that’s what Harry told her.
Prince Harry, 26, and Chelsy, 25, were seen together partying at the Goring Hotel after the reception. “You could tell they were an item. They were acting like a couple and kissed in front of everyone”, a source from the hotel told reporters.
Apparently, the on-again off-again couple left the hotel together around 6 a.m. after the bar in their room ran out of Kroneberg beer.
Harry and Chelsy have been dating on-and-off since 2004. And apparently, it’s on-again now!
